Downsizing our lifes

downsizing

As the countdown gets closer to our departure date things get real.  We are really selling everything we own and moving into a 14ft camper trailer for an unknown amount of time.  We don't know where we are going and how we will afford it, but it's happening.

We do know we have the way to much stuff though.  How did this happen??

I got this apartment in 2011 and Jerimiah moved in 2014.  We have so much art, clothes, nicknacks and vintage.  I started a vintage store to help my grandmother about 6 years ago and store it all at my apartment.  Jerimiah also rents a workspace for his motorcycle and has tons of tools and parts.  It's at the end of March which means we have a little over two months to                                                                                           make this happen.

We have an amazing friend Emily who has agreed to take our apartment and to provide a home for our two cats since they won't be coming on the road with us.  Please don't make me feel any worse for abandoning them.  They are house cats and would never make it anywhere near the wilderness.  Emily is also taking a lot of our furniture which helps us and it doesn't have to leave the apartment.  Everything else must be sold.

We have few flea markets coming up to sell the vintage as well as online.  We have most of the furniture sold and now it's just the odds and in which we are hoping to sell at a yard sell when the weather gets nicer.  Personally I want to try and sell as much as possible because it will help us with this adventure, but I realize it has to go.

We will be taking a few items to Iowa to store at my parents.  They are amazing and have offered their help, and I believe its a way to get me to come home at some point haha.

This is a long process and messy.  Right now as I type I am staring at boxes I should be packing.  Well, I better get back to work before Jerimiah gets back from working on the camper.
